In this message, brother Dave Bixler shares on the commission that God has given to His people on the earth: the matter of the ground of the church.
All of us fall into 3 categories:
- Those who have never seen the matter of the ground of the church
- Those who understand the ground of the church, but to whom it is no more than doctrine
- Those who really see the ground of the church, but need to be refreshed
Following brother Bixler’s sharing there was a lot of very sweet testimony and consecration to the Lord that followed. May these brothers and sisters’ experience inspire us to do the same:

1 commentThe universal church, the body, is a great mystery. The Lord has recently showed me more how god desires a practical, definate church to express Him practically on earth as a testimony. This is the church shared in this message. We must see the desire of god is to express himself in oneness in his body expressed practically on earth on the ground of locality. The Lord has churches where he has put his name. It is not our choice where to meet. Here we must worship by the Spirit in truth and reality. This message brings out the picture of the church as shown in the Old Testament. We need a revelation from Christ to see this church. It is the Lord’s church not ours. There is a spiritual vision but there must also be a practical down to earth assembly. Lord let me see this more clearly and continue with the saints here in Mansfield. I know I have not wasted my life because the lord has really showed me more of himself and more of the church. I love them both. This is something of god. When man gets his hands on the church it opens the gates of hell. It is only by the mercy of god and the stand of faithful brothers with vision that i am still here in this city and see something of god’s desire. This message has helped me. May the churches all have this vision. I also see that god has given gifts to the church for the building up of the body and behind everything is the love of god.
